Chris Ertsgaard is a Senior Advanced Physicist at Quantinuum since June 2021, prior to which Chris worked as an Advanced Physicist at Honeywell for a brief period and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from September 2015 to April 2021. Chris's experience includes research on trap fabrication and optical setups, along with expertise in nano-fabrication, modeling, surface Plasmon sensing, and various spectroscopy measurements. Additional roles include Research and Development Engineer at Abbott, where Chris contributed to improving surgical implant procedures, and positions in tutoring, IT support, and roles in production and customer service earlier in Chris's career. Chris holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master’s in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Bethel University.
