Daniel Mills

Senior Research Scientist

Daniel Mills is a Senior Research Scientist at Quantinuum, focusing on error mitigation, distributed quantum computing, and full stack benchmarking, alongside interests in quantum circuit compilation and noise simulation. Mills also serves on the Advisory Board of Unitary Foundation, reviewing applications for the micro grant program. Previously, Mills supervised a Quantum Computing course at the University of Cambridge, tutored an Introduction to Quantum Computing course at the University of Edinburgh, and interned at various organizations, including Cambridge Quantum Computing and Bull, where experience in industrial applications of quantum computing was gained. Mills holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing and a Master’s degree in Research in Quantum Computing from The University of Edinburgh, as well as a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Warwick.
