David Hayes

David Hayes is the Director of Computational Design and Theory at Quantinuum and a Principal Theorist at Honeywell, where they focus on building trapped-ion quantum computers. They earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Maryland College Park, having conducted trapped-ion experiments for quantum information processing. Prior to their current roles, they served as a Senior Research Scientist at Lockheed Martin and a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Sydney, where they worked on error suppression techniques in quantum memories and supervised graduate students. David completed a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics at The University of New Mexico.
