Jon Goldwin

Jon Goldwin is an experimental quantum physicist with over two decades of experience working with atoms and light to advance quantum technologies. Currently, they serve as a Lead Physicist at Quantinuum, focusing on trapped-ion quantum computing. Previously, they were a Senior Physicist and Technical Program Manager at ColdQuanta, and before that, an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Birmingham, where they led research on cavity quantum electrodynamics. Their early career included roles as a Research Assistant at JILA and a Research Associate at Imperial College London, alongside notable experience as a Hilldale Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a PhD in Atomic/Molecular Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
