Matthew Bohn is an accomplished optical fellow and chief scientist with extensive experience in laser and optics. Currently at Quantinuum since November 2021, Bohn previously held roles at Honeywell as a senior principal physicist and principal scientist. Earlier experience includes positions at Lockheed Martin as a senior research staff scientist, and a visiting research professorship at NTNU where Bohn designed a terahertz laboratory. Additional roles include serving as a science and technology advisor at ANSER, directing laser systems at Directed Energy Solutions, and teaching at the Air Force Institute of Technology. Bohn’s earlier career includes significant contributions to the Air Force Technical Applications Center and scientific exchange duties in Germany. Bohn earned a PhD in Optical Sciences and holds a Master of Science in Physics from The University of New Mexico, along with a BS in Physics from the United States Air Force Academy.
