Michael (Mike) Ziemkiewicz is a systems engineer with extensive experience in applying lasers for technical problem-solving in fields such as LIDAR, automation, and spectroscopy. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer at BAE Systems, they manage projects focused on advancing liquid crystal waveguide technology. Previously, they held roles including Staff Scientist at Vescent Photonics, where they developed innovative beamsteering technologies, and had impactful contributions during their postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley.
