Ryan Jung

Ryan Jung is a Lead Physicist at Quantinuum, specializing in advanced packaging solutions for ion trap-based quantum computing applications since May 2022. Prior to this role, Ryan served as a Lead Systems Engineer and Principal Research Scientist at Honeywell, where notable achievements included leading projects in environmental technology and designing cryogenic ultra-high vacuum systems. Earlier experience includes a position as a Senior Research Physicist at IBM, focusing on cutting-edge device fabrication techniques, and a Research Assistant role at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where Ryan conducted research on electron-impact excitation and developed diagnostic methods for plasmas. Ryan holds a PhD in Atomic Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Lawrence University.
