Steven Herbert

Steven Herbert currently serves as the Head of Quantum Algorithms at Quantinuum, a role initiated following the merger of Cambridge Quantum and Honeywell Quantum Solutions. In addition, Steven is an Affiliated Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, where responsibilities include lecturing on the Part II Quantum Computing course. Previous positions include Teaching By-Fellow at Churchill College, Head of Quantum Algorithms and Senior Research Scientist at Cambridge Quantum, Research Associate at the University of Oxford, and Visiting Researcher at the University of Edinburgh School of Engineering. Steven has also held roles at the University of Cambridge's Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics and the University of Edinburgh focused on signal processing. Steven holds a Ph.D. in Wireless Communication and an M.A. in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
