Tom Markham

Tom Markham is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in quantum computing and cybersecurity. Currently serving as an Engineering Fellow at Quantinuum since November 2022, Tom specializes in delivering high fidelity quantum computing based on trapped ions. Prior to this role, Tom worked as a Senior Principal Engineer at Honeywell from November 2003 to November 2022, focusing on computer and network security research, vulnerability assessment, and various projects related to smart cards and industrial control systems. Tom's career began at Secure Computing Corporation, where from 1984 to 2003, expertise was developed in computer architecture and security. Tom holds a degree from the University of North Dakota, completed in 1984.
