William Baker is an accomplished physicist with extensive experience in quantum computing and materials science. Currently serving as Lead Physicist at Quantinuum since May 2022, William previously held positions at Honeywell as an Advanced Physicist and at Montana Instruments as a Cryogenic Scientist/Engineer and Application Engineer. Earlier career roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at UNSW, where research focused on single phosphorus atom planar quantum dot devices, and a Research Assistant at Spin Electronics, studying spin-dependent recombination in organic materials. William also has a background in the US Army, gaining valuable skills in patience, teamwork, and leadership. William earned a PhD in Physics and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Utah.
