Josh Bakin

Josh Bakin is an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager and Climate Change Specialist at Axient, engaged in enhancing installation resiliency and addressing climate change vulnerabilities for the US Army SMDC since April 2021. Previously, as a Defensible Space Inspector for the County of El Dorado, Josh led wildfire prevention initiatives by assessing wildfire risks and developing management strategies for vegetation near wildfire-prone areas. Prior experiences include serving as an Associate Engineer for the City of Palo Alto, focusing on water quality compliance and watershed protection, and conducting research at the Urban Climate Lab and Climate Literacy Lab. Josh holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master’s in Environmental Policy and Management and an MBA, along with a Master’s in Geological and Earth Sciences.
