Richard Ryan

Richard Ryan is a Senior Subject Matter Expert at Axient, specializing in rocket propulsion, vehicle systems, and systems engineering. Previously, Ryan retired as Chief Engineer for Technology Development and Transfer at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, where they accumulated over 35 years of experience in advanced propulsion design and held various leadership roles in project management and systems engineering. Ryan contributed significantly to NASA's projects, including the Ares V Project and the Reusable Launch Vehicle Program, while also serving on numerous investigation boards and technical reviews. Ryan holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
