Riyadh Bhyat has a diverse work experience. Riyadh is currently the Global Head of Banking at Quantium since October 2022 and is responsible for building the EMEA+Asia business in Financial Services, Retail, FMCG, and Health. Before that, they served as the Head of Quantium EMEA, where they played a crucial role in establishing the company's presence in the region.
Prior to joining Quantium, Riyadh was the Co-founder of The Inflation Factory, a role they took on in June 2014. Riyadh also worked as a Director at FeverTree Fund Managers from June 2014 onwards.
Riyadh has also held positions at Ashburton Investments, where they served as a Fixed Income Fund Manager handling a $250m fund investing in Sub-Saharan Africa. Riyadh was responsible for credit analysis, risk management, due diligence, fund design, and investor presentations. Riyadh was also a member of the Credit Committee and Product Development Committee during their tenure.
Before that, Riyadh pursued an MBA at the University of Oxford and served as a Transactor in Debt Capital Markets at Rand Merchant Bank. At the bank, they specialized in origination, structuring, and executing corporate finance transactions, including debt, securitizations, and interest rate hedging.
Riyadh also has experience as a Lecturer of Financial Economics at the University of the Witwatersrand, where they covered topics such as portfolio theory, capital asset pricing models, and derivative pricing. Riyadh started their career as an Actuarial Summer Research Intern at Quindiem Consulting, where they conducted research on the impact of natural disasters on emerging market equity performance and developed a loan projection model for a mortgage provider.

In 2003-2005, Riyadh attended the University of the Witwatersrand where they obtained a BSc degree in Mathematical Statistics and Actuarial Science.
From 2005-2006, Riyadh continued their studies at the University of the Witwatersrand and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science & Advanced Maths of Finance.
In 2007-2011, Riyadh enrolled in The Faculty & Institute of Actuaries, where they obtained the degree of Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, specializing in Finance.
In 2011-2012, Riyadh attended Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and earned an MBA degree with a focus on Finance.
Aside from their formal education, Riyadh also obtained additional certifications. In December 2015, they achieved Duolingo French Fluency: Elementary (Estimated) certification from Duolingo. In October 2015, Riyadh obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates.
