Afshin Darian

Afshin Darian is a seasoned technical leader with extensive experience in software development and engineering. Currently serving as Technical Director at QuantStack since April 2022, Afshin has also been a member of the Jupyter Executive Council since October 2015, contributing as a co-creator of JupyterLab and engaging in mentorship and outreach for new developers. Previous roles include Software Engineer at Two Sigma, Senior Developer at Alfresco, Senior Software Engineer at OpenGamma, and Web Tier Developer at 1010data. Afshin holds a Master's degree in History from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Medieval Studies from Rutgers University.
