Sylvain Corlay

Sylvain Corlay is a seasoned professional in the field of scientific computing and quantitative finance. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of QuantStack since June 2016, Sylvain leads a team maintaining critical open-source projects used globally, including Jupyter and conda-forge. In addition, Sylvain organizes the PyData Paris conference and is a member of the NumFOCUS Board of Directors, supporting open-source initiatives. As a Software Steering Council Member for Project Jupyter and an adjunct professor at various prestigious institutions, Sylvain has combined academic and practical expertise, emphasizing computational finance and programming. Sylvain holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University, with research focusing on vector quantization and stochastic volatility models.
