Mark Luo

Mark Luo is the current Chief Executive Officer at Quantum Brilliance. Prior to this, they worked as a New Ventures Manager and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at CSIRO from December 2018 to June 2020. In this role, they helped Australian entrepreneurs make the final leap to market by providing them with support in areas such as structure, scaling, and sustainability. Luo’s favorite moment from their time at CSIRO was working closely with science founders and learning about Australia's best hidden talent.

Before joining CSIRO, Luo worked as an Investment Analyst in Global Real Estate at Resolution Capital Ltd from May 2012 to November 2013. From February 2015 to November 2018, they worked at QIC as part of the Global Private Equity team. At QIC, Luo was responsible for investing in global venture capital and private equity. Mark also had a hand in venture growth and tech transfer deals with a focus on cross-border transactions in Asia. During their time at QIC, Luo’s favorite moment was learning about the inner workings of Lightspeed and Sequoia.

Mark Luo has a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from UNSW, and a high school diploma from Carlingford high School.
