Prior to this, Simon worked at Proximity as an Internal Entrepreneur, where they identified trends and problems faced by clients and used software to provide solutions. Simon also worked as a Fiction Writer during the same time period. Before that, Simon served as a Lead Software Engineer at Instaclustr for two years. Simon had also co-founded and worked as the CTO at Document Modeling, a startup focused on developing software for the legal industry. Simon has worked as a contractor at Cordelta and as a Software Engineer at both CEA Technologies Pty Ltd and the Health Insurance Commission. Simon began their career as a Junior Software Engineer at Powerlan.
