Matt McPherson has extensive experience in various roles within the technology and education sectors.
Matt is currently the COO at Quantum Capture, a global leader in building high fidelity virtual humans powered by artificial intelligence. Matt joined the company in 2016 and is responsible for increasing engagement, conversion, and operational efficiencies through the use of virtual humans.
Prior to that, Matt worked as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto in 2015, teaching a graduate level course on launching information ventures.
From 2012 to 2016, they were the Managing Director at Nomalous Inc., where they provided digital and social strategy, product strategy, and operations management services to start-ups and early-stage companies. Matt also managed operations for Deb McCain Communications, where they developed plans for leveraging emerging technologies and digital media channels.

Matt McPherson began their education by attending St. Andrew's College from 1984 to 1989. After that, they attended Queen's University, although the specific years of their enrollment are unknown. Later on, from 2007 to 2010, McPherson attended the University of Toronto, where they pursued a degree in Information Systems, known as MISt, in addition to a Collaborative Program in Knowledge Media Design (KMD).
