Chan U Lei is a quantum physicist and engineer with extensive experience in advanced device development and research. They earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Caltech, where they served as a Graduate Research Assistant, engineering superconducting electromechanical devices and conducting pioneering studies in quantum mechanics. Following their tenure at Caltech, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Yale University, where they developed novel superconducting technologies. Currently, Chan leads advanced device development at D-Wave, having previously managed a team at Quantum Circuits, Inc. focused on scalability and performance enhancement of superconducting quantum computing architectures.
