David Sweeney

David Sweeney has over 25 years of work experience. David started their career at Travelers in 1997, where they worked as a Director of Engineering. In this role, they managed a full stack software engineering team and utilized open source software and frameworks to develop distributed infrastructure and network monitoring tools. David also implemented a microservices architecture using Go to transform and aggregate data for a browser-based application.

In 2019, Sweeney joined Veeder-Root as a DevOps Engineer. David served as a technical leader on a Next Generation Embedded Linux IoT Platform. David leveraged the Yocto Project and AWS IoT Core, and created a build and dependency management solution for Python packages on an ARM architecture. David also re-created the Jenkins CI/CD system as Infrastructure as Code in a GitOps style implementation using BitBucket Pipelines and CloudFormation templates.

Most recently, in 2022, Sweeney joined Quantum Circuits, Inc. as a DevOps Engineer. Additional details about this role are not provided.

David Sweeney attended Porter and Chester Institute from 1996 to 1997. During their time at the institute, they focused on studying computers and electronics. No degree was obtained during this period.
