Uchenna Chukwu

Quantum Solutions Architect, Quantum Firmware Engineer at Quantum Computing Inc.

Uchenna Chukwu has extensive work experience in the field of quantum computing and software engineering. Uchenna started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland - Compact Muon Solenoid Group, where they examined particle collision by-products and analyzed their energy contents. Uchenna then moved on to the Joint Quantum Institute, where they worked as a Research Assistant and collaborated on the assembly of a quantum hybrid system. Uchenna also gained experience as a Summer Research Assistant at the Center for String and Particle Theory, where they completed computational projects and worked on the mathematical construction of geometric frameworks. Uchenna later worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Sealing Technologies, Inc., where they developed software for cloud-based technology. Uchenna's next role was as a Software Engineer R&D at Ellucian, where they developed ASP.NET Web API/MVC applications and worked on Agile Scrum software development. Most recently, they worked at Quantopo as a Co-Founder, focused on leveraging the geometry of quantum mechanics to improve statistical modeling and topological data analysis tools. Uchenna is currently a Senior Quantum Developer at Quantum Computing, Inc.

Uchenna Chukwu completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, where they attended from 2006 to 2011. After that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from the University of Maryland, which they completed between 2012 and 2014. Uchenna then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Uchenna also obtained certifications in various subjects, including "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera, both obtained in April 2018. Furthermore, they earned an edX Verified Certificate for "Fundamentals of Market Structure" from edX, although the exact month and year of completion are not provided.
