David Schultz has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. David began their career in 1976 as an Audit Manager at Coopers & Lybrand, where they performed audits for various clients and supervised audit staff. David then joined Video Library, Inc. in 1984 as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for financial and SEC reporting, managing shareholder relations, and budgeting for store operations. In 1987, they became the Regional Controller at Blockbuster Entertainment, Inc., overseeing budgeting and financial reporting for all stores in the Western United States and providing financial advice to the Western Zone Manager. In 1990, David joined Chantal Systems, Inc. as VP Finance & Administration, leading the accounting and administrative teams, preparing financial statements and managing banking relationships. Finally, in 1991, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Quantum Design, Inc., where they coordinated financial reporting for the company and its subsidiaries worldwide, developed expansion models, and monitored subsidiary performance.
David Schultz obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Cal State Fullerton, College of Business and Economics, where they studied from 1972 to 1976. David later pursued their Master of Business Administration at the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business from 1997 to 1999.
