Quantum Detectors is redefining what's possible in scientific discovery.

We design and manufacture world-leading detectors and readout electronics for X-ray and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) applications — enabling faster, clearer, and more precise imaging for scientists and engineers worldwide.

Our flagship Merlin T4 detector, powered by CERN's Timepix4 ASIC, sets new performance standards in ultrafast TEM (UTEM), 4D-STEM, MicroED / 3D-ED, and dynamic diffraction imaging. In the X-ray domain, we equip synchrotron beamlines and advanced research laboratories with hybrid-pixel and direct-detection systems that deliver nanosecond timing precision and high-efficiency data capture.

We collaborate closely with world-class institutions — including CERN, Diamond Light Source, STFC Daresbury Laboratory, RAL, and the University of Glasgow — translating pioneering academic innovation into commercially robust instrumentation. Our technologies accelerate breakthroughs across materials science, semiconductors, structural biology, pharmaceuticals, and other cutting-edge research fields.

With a global presence spanning Europe, North America, and Asia, Quantum Detectors combines scientific expertise, engineering precision, and a shared passion for discovery to help researchers push the boundaries of what's possible.
