Douglas Pike

Senior Staff Scientist, Data Science & Computational Biology at Quantum-Si

Douglas Pike has a strong background in computational biology, with their most recent role being Senior Staff Scientist and Group Leader of Computational Biology at Quantum-Si since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Scientist in Computational Biology at the same company from July 2021 to October 2021. Before joining Quantum-Si, Douglas worked at Rutgers University as a Laboratory Researcher IV from June 2010 to June 2021, where they managed various research projects and collaborated with multiple research groups. Douglas also has experience in project management and protocol design and development at VeriConomy, where they served as a Project Lead Developer from March 2014 to February 2021. Douglas started their career at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School as a Senior Laboratory Technician from June 2005 to June 2010, conducting molecular biology research.

Douglas Pike obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biology from Stockton University, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Afterward, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Quantitative Biomedicine (Computational Biology) from Rutgers University. Douglas completed their PhD program at Rutgers University between 2017 and 2021.
