Shorya Consul

Shorya Consul is a Senior Computational Scientist at Quantum-Si, specializing in machine and deep learning applications in bioinformatics. With a focus on developing algorithms for genomic data inference, Shorya previously served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where they pioneered innovative approaches in haplotype assembly and oncoviral identification. Shorya's educational background includes a Master's and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Alongside academic pursuits, Shorya has gained valuable research experience through internships at organizations such as MIT, Arm, and CognitiveScale. Outside of their professional work, Shorya enjoys reading and outdoor activities like hiking and playing ultimate frisbee.
