Richard Matlock

Richard Matlock is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in national security and defense technology. Currently serving as Senior Vice President for National Security Space at Quantum Space since May 2025, Richard leads initiatives to develop advanced maneuverable spacecraft for space superiority. Previously, Richard owned Matlock Strategies for Technology Innovation, providing consultation services, and transitioned from a 40-year government career with major roles in the Department of Defense, including Director at the United States Department of War and Program Executive at the Missile Defense Agency. Richard's background encompasses significant contributions in missile defense technologies, program management, and collaborative international defense projects. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech and has completed executive education at MIT and Stanford.
