Richard Matlock serves as the Senior Vice President for National Security Space at Quantum Space, focusing on the development of responsive, layer space systems for national security and commercial clients since May 2025. Prior to this position, Matlock owned and operated Matlock Strategies for Technology Innovation, LLC, providing consultation services to foster innovative technology development from October 2017 to May 2025. Matlock's extensive experience includes significant roles at the Department of Defense, where major executive positions were held, and directed a special program addressing national security issues. Additional leadership experience was gained at the Missile Defense Agency, where Matlock managed a $4.6 billion program for advanced missile defense technologies and executed strategies for advanced interceptors. Matlock holds executive management training credentials from MIT Sloan School of Management and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
