John Pettey

John Pettey is an experienced Solutions Architect, currently working at Quantum since April 2015, focusing on federal civilian agencies and technical workflow solutions involving Quantum's Xcellis appliance. Pettey's career includes roles at Dot Hill Systems, where pre-sales and architecture services were provided to customers, and FalconStor Software, supporting commercial and public sector clients. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Systems Engineer at Overland Storage, where Pettey developed backup solutions, and as a Systems Engineer at Quantum|ATL, architecting tape library solutions. Pettey also worked as a Systems Administrator at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and served as the Director of Administration for Senator Robert C. Smith. Pettey holds a Master's degree in Information Systems & Technology from The George Washington University and a BA in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland.
