Richard Bates

Richard Bates is a director in the Disputes, Investigations, and Valuations team at Quantuma, where they specialize in loss of profits claims, investigations, and expert witness work. With 20 years of experience in civil and criminal matters, Richard has addressed a wide range of assignments across various industries, including partnership and shareholder disputes, fraud, and business valuations. They spent nine months on secondment at the Serious Fraud Office and previously held senior roles at Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP and Honeycomb Forensic Accounting. Richard holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Kent and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. In addition to their professional pursuits, Richard enjoys watching football and traveling.
