Alireza Torabi

Alireza Torabi is an accomplished expert in materials science with a focus on energy conversion technologies. Currently serving as a Consulting Member of Technical Staff and Director at QuantumScape since October 2018, Alireza has previously held positions such as Senior Scientist at Primus Power and Supervisor of SOFC Materials Development at FuelCell Energy. Alireza's work spans the development of mixed-metal oxide catalysts, electrochemical diagnostics for flow batteries, and the advancement of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) materials and processes. Alireza's academic background includes postdoctoral research at the University of Toronto and the University of Alberta, where significant contributions were made to the fields of nanostructured composites and advanced materials functionality. Alireza holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science from the University of Alberta.
