Ankit Agrawal

Ankit Agrawal is a highly experienced professional in the field of chemical engineering and battery technology, currently serving as Principal Member of Technical Staff and Senior Manager in Cell Development at QuantumScape since October 2020. Leading a team of over 10 scientists, engineers, and technicians, Ankit has focused on failure analysis and specification development, achieving significant yield improvements through advanced methodologies. Previously, Ankit led lithium metal anode development, enhancing manufacturability and reliability for ambient pressure and sub-room temperature applications. Ankit's background includes substantial research as a postdoctoral researcher at Berkeley Lab, where new solid-state electrolytes were discovered, and as a postdoctoral fellow at The University of Texas at Austin, where all-solid-state batteries were designed. Ankit has also contributed to the development of clean energy technologies as a co-founder of Cleanoventions and holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, along with dual bachelor's and master's degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
