Principal MTS Systems Engineer at QuantumScape

Jared Lee has a diverse work experience in the semiconductor industry. Jared is currently working as a Principal MTS Systems Engineer at QuantumScape, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, they held a role as a Sr. Staff Mechanical/Systems Engineer at Lam Research from August 2020 to September 2022.

Jared Lee's longest tenure was at Applied Materials, where they spent 16 years starting from August 2004. During their time at Applied Materials, they held multiple roles. Jared started as a MTS Mechanical/Systems Engineer in the Etch Business Group, where they were responsible for the mechanical design of chamber hardware and systems engineering related to flow, pressure, and temperature control. Jared also led the development of a high throughput platform with a novel post-etch treatment (PET) chamber.

Later, Jared moved to the ALD and CVD department as a Member of Technical Staff. In this role, they were part of a design and development team for an ALD process chamber. Jared'sresponsibilities included chamber component design, precursor delivery system design and optimization, and material characterization and specification. Jared also served as a business unit leader, overseeing the development and testing of protective coatings for contamination reduction.

Jared Lee has obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. Jared also pursued further education at Georgia Institute of Technology, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, Jared completed a Systems Engineering Fundamentals Certificate program at Caltech.
