Kyle Fessenden

Principal Full Stack Engineer at QuantumScape

Kyle Fessenden has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Starting in 2012, they worked as an Associate Scientist at TFD Group, where they developed and maintained the computational engine and data model for the VMetric inventory optimization tool. Kyle also implemented a dynamic resource allocation algorithm for analysts.

In 2014, Fessenden joined Northrop Grumman as an Operations Research Analyst, before transitioning to the role of Software Engineer I and later Software Engineer II. In these roles, they provided sustainment support for the Defense Manpower Data Center suite of web applications, focused on process improvement, automation, and monitoring. Kyle also led the complete rewrite of the Defense Manpower Data Center Reporting System, managing a team of six developers. Additionally, Fessenden served as the technical lead for the initial operating capability of the Defense Manpower Data Center's identity, credential, and access management solution, managing a team of four developers.

Most recently, Fessenden joined QuantumScape in 2021 as a Senior Full Stack Engineer. Further details about their role at QuantumScape were not provided.

Kyle Fessenden attended California State University, Monterey Bay from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with Cum Laude honors. In June 2019, they also obtained a certification in CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA.
