Joy Patton, Ph.D., PCC

Joy Patton, Ph.D., PCC has a diverse work experience spanning various fields and roles. Joy started their career as a Counterterrorism Officer and then served as an Intelligence Flight Commander in both the 4th Fighter Wing and the 43rd Operations Support Squadron. Following that, they worked as an IMA Reserve Officer, IG Inspector/Analyst, and an Air Reserve Technician. Later, they served as the Director of Operations and Squadron Commander for the 237th Intelligence Squadron, where they led daily targeting operations and served as a liaison between various organizations. Joy also held the position of Deputy Branch Chief for International Partner Engagement at Headquarters Air Force, where they strengthened and expanded Air Force ISR international partnerships. Additionally, they served as an IMA to the Division Chief for Multi-Domain ISR, as well as a Reserve Staff Officer at HQ Air Mobility Command. Joy has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at American Military University, teaching courses in an online setting. In 2019, they embarked on a new career path as a Home School Mom, providing homeschool education for their children. More recently, Joy has worked as a Professional Development Coach at Quantuvos Group, providing leadership coaching and support. Joy is also currently serving as Visiting Faculty at Defense Acquisition University, producing podcast series and being a subject matter expert on leadership and professional development. Throughout their career, Joy has demonstrated expertise in leadership, career transitions, professional development, and coaching for new entrepreneurs.

Joy Patton, Ph.D., PCC has an extensive education history. Joy obtained a Bachelor's degree in History from Centre College in 1995. Joy then pursued a Master of Science degree in International Relations and Affairs from Troy University, which they completed in 1997. In 2011, they furthered their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science and Government from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Joy's commitment to education continued throughout their career. In 2012, they attended the USAF Air Command and Staff College, and in 2015, they completed the National Security Policy Studies program at the USAF Air War College. These experiences allowed their to deepen their knowledge and expertise in related fields.

Joy's dedication to professional development is evident in their additional certifications. Joy obtained the Certified Career Transition Coach designation from the Career Thought Leaders Consortium in May 2022. In October 2020, they became an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation. Joy continued to advance their coaching skills by obtaining the EQ-i 2.0 certification from Multi-Health Systems Inc. in August 2019. Joy'scommitment to career coaching is further demonstrated by their recent certifications as a Certified Digital Career Strategist (CDCS), Certified Interview Coach (CIC), and Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC), all obtained in October 2022. Finally, they achieved the highest level of coaching certification, becoming a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation in December 2022.

In their most recent educational pursuit, Joy completed an Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching at Georgetown University in 2022. This program enhanced their expertise in organizational leadership, complementing their previous academic achievements and certifications.
