Dan Thomson is the Vice President of Solution Delivery at Quartech. Dan has over 35 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on Justice & Public Safety. Dan has been with Quartech since 1985, and in their current role, they are responsible for business development/marketing, sales, delivery, operations management, and leadership including business plans, marketing plans, strategic account plans, and complex proposals and contracts.

Prior to their current role, Dan was the Principal Consultant at Thomson IT Consulting Inc., where they provided freelance IT consulting sales and delivery services directly to clients and partner organizations. Dan has also held various other positions throughout their career, including Vice President of Justice & Public Safety at Sierra Systems and Account Manager/Project Director for Emergency Management, Police, Courts, and Corrections customers.

Dan has been instrumental in the development and implementation of numerous COTS and Custom solutions for Province-wide Justice & Public Safety use. Dan has also conducted market scans giving Justice & Public Safety agencies intel on what other jurisdictions are up to. Some of their other notable accomplishments include leading the internal R&D AGILE MVP (prototype) for an AI-based PTSD Early Intervention solution, overseeing the Province-wide CAD and RMS implementation and support for Sheriffs, conducting a Digital Evidence Management proof of concept for Police, and creating a Modernization Strategy to replace legacy solutions with an integrated COTS for Courts.

Dan Thomson has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Victoria. Dan also has certification from the Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and from the Government of Canada as a Security Clearance - Level II Secret.

Their manager is Brad Head, Chief Technology Officer.
