Declan Coughlan

Declan Coughlan is a Senior Lead Developer at Quartech, a position held since February 2023, where responsibilities include supporting developers and collaborating directly with clients to enhance project efficiency. Previously, Declan served as a Back-End Principal Engineer at Trilogy, contributing to the development of an educational platform, and as a Senior Developer for the BC Government. A solid background includes roles as a Senior Software Developer at Syntell, where a high-speed mapping component was developed, and as the Director of Engineering at Xineoh, overseeing the creation of an AI recommendation system. Declan's extensive experience encompasses various software development positions since starting as an intern at ACI Worldwide in 2014, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of the Free State. Additionally, prior management experience was gained in the hospitality sector, including positions as General Manager at Lion Lodge and Management Trainee at Southern Sun OR Tambo International Airport Hotel.
