Blair Fraser has a long and varied work experience. In 2020, they were appointed Vice President of Global Business Development and Global Director - IIoT Solutions at UE Systems, Co-Founder & Co-Host of Maintenance Disrupted, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. From 2008 to 2020, they held multiple roles at Lakeside Process Controls, including Leader, Operational Certainty (Digital Transformation), Business Unit Manager - Reliability Solutions, Manager, Asset Reliability Services, and Lead, Automation Lifecycle Services. In 2006, they were Facilities Management - Water Treatment Systems at Novocol Pharmaceutical of Canada, Inc. From 2003 to 2006, they were Instrumentation and Electrical Coordinator at Apotex Inc. From 2001 to 2003, they were Instrumentation & Electrical Specialist at Barnes Huntington & Associates. In 2001, they were Instrument Technician (Co-Op) at Imperial Oil Canada.
Blair Fraser obtained an Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technologist degree from Lambton College between 1998 and 2001. In 2012, they completed a course in Successfully Coaching & Mentoring Individuals & Teams at the Schulich School of Business - York University. In 2015, they were certified as a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional by SMRP, and as a Certified Reliability Leader by the Association of Asset Management Professionals. In 2008, they were certified as an Industrial Electrician by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, and they also held a Calibration Technician certification from ASQ (which has since expired).
