Hemming Svensson has had a varied career, starting in 2006 as IT Manager for Svensson Revisionskonsult AB, where they were responsible for central IT management and support, setting up and developing a system of virtual servers with integrated and incremental backup, and developing software for managing internal databases. In 2011, they took on a Sales role at Hemglass. From 2012 to 2013, they were an IT Consultant at Prestep, where they redesigned existing manufacturing environment software to meet new demands, developed new build environment in unix and windows, and migrated, updated, and modernized documentation. From 2013 to 2017, they were Operations and IT Manager for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where they organized events, logistical plans, communications, and IT solutions for 150-200 people. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Research Associate and Thematic Research Associate at Nordea Markets, where they supported the quantitative equity research team with database management, data aggregation, equity strategy performances, ESG performance, screenings, and research on demand from clients, as well as supported the real estate equity team with commissioned research initiations and coverage. In 2019, they also took on an Associate role at Nordea AI, where they worked on the Nordea group AI strategy, marketing website development, and some sub-budgeting efforts, as well as helped to further strategy for chatbot development. Finally, from 2019 to 2022, they were a Quantitative Equity Analyst and Quantitative Research Analyst at Nordea Markets, where they conducted types of research including index change forecasts and impact assessments, fund positioning reports, strategy performance and screens, research on demand, COVID-19 overview and impact assessments, and investment idea generation, and was responsible for team database management and in-house data-aggregation python library built on pandas to aid screenings, strategy performance, quantitative research, analysts, and sales in various projects.
Hemming Svensson received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics between 2014 and 2017. Hemming has also obtained additional certifications from Udemy, Coursera, and the University of Helsinki, including DevOps, CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Delivery for Beginners) in May 2021, AI For Everyone in June 2019, and Elements of AI in June 2019.
