Steven Richards

Steven Richards has a diverse work experience in various fields. Steven began their career as a Geotechnical Engineer at BGC Engineering in 2009, where they worked until 2015. Following this, they worked as a Junior Web Developer at PNI Digital Media Ltd in 2016. In 2017, they became the Owner of Syncline IT Consulting Inc. and also served as a Mentor and Curriculum Writer at Lighthouse Labs. In 2019, they joined MDA as a Staff Software Development Engineer and worked there until 2021. Steven then worked at Qube Technologies as a Full Stack Software Developer before being promoted to the role of Lead UI Developer in 2022. Currently, they are a Board Member at the Vancouver Island Engineering Society.

Steven Richards has a diverse education history. In 2003, they started their undergraduate studies at The University of British Columbia, majoring in Geological Engineering. Steven completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Geological Engineering in 2009.

After gaining their undergraduate degree, Steven pursued further studies at The University of British Columbia. From 2013 to 2014, they undertook a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) program with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.

In 2016, Steven attended Lighthouse Labs and obtained a Diploma in Web Application Development. This program provided him with skills in developing web applications.

In terms of additional certifications, Steven obtained Advanced Angular and Angular Fundamentals certifications from Angular Academy in September 2019. These certifications showcase their advanced knowledge and skills in working with the Angular framework.
