David Patterson

David Patterson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology and business strategy, currently serving on the QUBIS Ltd Development Fund Investment Committee, focusing on investments in spin-out startups from Queen's University Belfast since November 2017. Previous roles include Entrepreneur in Residence at Catalyst, where David designed the Springboard Program for early-stage startups, and Senior Director of Engineering at Peloton Interactive, developing AI-driven natural language voice understanding for fitness products. David has also been a board member and mentor for Overwatch Research and Oroson Ltd, contributing to their go-to-market strategies, and held senior leadership positions at Aiqudo and Boxfish. With a background in artificial intelligence research as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ulster, David holds a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Ulster University, along with a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence.
