Once upon a whisk, Queen City Cakes was born from a love of bold flavours, beautiful design, and unapologetic creativity. What started as one boy, one dream, and a whole lot of butter grew into Regina’s go to spot for desserts that taste as good as they look.

With no investors, just passion, persistence, and piping bags, we turned a desk and a landlord’s leap of faith into something bigger than frosting. From that tiny beginning, Queen City Cakes rose (literally and figuratively), proving that sometimes all it takes is one yes.

Growing wasn’t all buttercream and rainbows, it was late nights, endless redos, and the support of family, friends, and a team who believed in the vision. While many admired the glitter, few understood the grit behind it. But perseverance paid off, and we expanded into multiple locations, including Regina’s historic Avord Building and Saskatoon’s Garden Architecture.

Along the way, we hit the spotlight, dazzling judges on Food Network’s Big Bake, showcasing flavours on Flat Out Food, and sharing our story on CTV, Global, and more. Named “Best Cake” by Prairie Dog (every year since opening) and crowned “Best New Business Venture” by the Paragon Awards, we’ve proven Queen City Cakes isn’t just a bakery, it’s a whole moment.

Now, we’ve leveled up again. Our new home inside the restored Turgeon House blends European glamour with historic charm. Thanks to visionary design, brilliant architects, and a touch of magic, we’ve created Regina’s first bakery experience so beautiful it made headlines. But behind the buzz is teamwork, front of house, back of house, and everyone in between.
