Queensland Churches Together exists to encourage and enable its members to pray and worship together, and to seek the unity which is Christ’s will and gift for his Church. We collaborate on issues of mutual interest – such as the care of creation, being the church in rural Queensland, supporting reconciliation with the First Peoples of Australia, working together for justice and peace, and speaking up for those with no voice. We also resource the church with training in Domestic and Family Violence awareness and response, pastoral care ministry, leadership development. We support the Queensland Faith Communities Council, a place for the diverse faiths of Queensland to meet and address issues of mutual interest, to further mutual understanding, and to work together for peace. Queensland Churches Together is a part of the worldwide ecumenical movement, affiliated with the National Council of Churches in Australia, and the World Council of Churches.
