Jing Chen is an experienced quantum application scientist currently serving as a Sr. Quantum Application Scientist at QuEra Computing Inc. since February 2025, focusing on the development of quantum algorithms and scientific software for quantum computing applications. Prior to this role, Jing was a Senior Quantum Scientist at Zapata AI from January 2022 to March 2025, where responsibilities included quantum software development and collaboration on quantum machine learning projects. Jing's earlier career includes a Research Fellow position at the Simons Foundation, working on advanced algorithms for quantum computing and machine learning. Jing holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical and Computational Physics from the Institute of Physics & Beijing National Lab for Condensed Matter Physics and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from East China Normal University.
