Head of Product Marketing at QueryLayer

Michelle Wols has a diverse work experience. Michelle currently holds the position of Head of Product Marketing at QueryLayer, where they introduced a tool to streamline data privacy compliance for privacy teams. Prior to that, Michelle worked as a Marketing Consultant.

From 2018 to 2023, Michelle worked at ForwardKeys, where they had two roles. As the Head of Marketing, they built and led a marketing team and focused on growth marketing and CRO optimization. As a Content Marketeer, Michelle handled content creation, hired an external agency for web development, and collaborated with sales and product teams to improve marketing content and strategy.

Before their time at ForwardKeys, Michelle had internships at The HEINEKEN Company and the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Toronto. At HEINEKEN, they worked on public policies and public affairs, managing projects, supporting events, and supervising the company's labeling commitment. At the Consulate General, Michelle was responsible for writing the communication strategy and assisting with trade missions.

Michelle's early work experience includes a role as a Seller and Chair at IJs&Zopie, where they were part of a committee.

Michelle Wols completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from Utrecht University between 2012 and 2016. Michelle then pursued a Máster degree in Política Económica y Economía Pública at the University of Valencia from 2017 to 2018. In addition, Michelle obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in International Business and Languages from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2011 to 2017. As part of their studies, they also attended a semester abroad at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México in 2014.
