Orla Dormer

Orla Dormer has had a varied career in a number of different industries. In 2022, they began their current role as Head of Growth and Community at QueryLayer. From 2018 to 2022, they were Language and International Director at Home School Internacional, where they were involved in the company's strategy decision making and responsible for interviewing potential international candidates, selecting educational materials, and creating and managing staff timetables and rotation plans. From 2008 to 2018, they were a Teacher at Cumbres School, where they ensured their students developed a love for the English language while gaining fluency in its use. From 2006 to 2008, they were Advertising Sales Manager at Sunday Tribune Newspaper, where they were responsible for directing, coaching, and motivating a team of sales reps. In 2005, they were Manager at The Nail Shop. From 1999 to 2005, they were Corporate Key Account Manager and Accounts Manager at Golden Pages Ltd, where they were responsible for leading, developing, and managing key sales partnerships and maximizing revenue growth opportunities. Finally, from 1997 to 1999, they were an English Teacher at British Home.

Orla Dormer completed a Preschool & Primary Teaching Double Degree at VIU - Universidad Internacional de Valencia in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a BA (Hons) International Business Communications from Ulster University between 1995 and 1999. In 2003 and 2004, they earned a Beauty Specialist Diploma from The Galligan College, specializing in Salon/Beauty Salon Management/Manager.
