Chris Capson

Chris Capson has a strong background in software development and management. Chris began their career as a Software Developer at ACOA - APECA, where they worked on applications using Microsoft's Windows DNA architecture. Chris then joined MobileQ as a Software Developer, where they built demo applications and later worked on the design and development of a main product. Capson continued to advance in their career, joining Viafone as a Software Engineer and Extended Systems as a Senior Software Developer. Chris then joined Sybase as a Staff Software Developer and R&D Manager, where they oversaw the Toronto R&D team and served as a lead developer. Capson's experience also includes working at Syntergy as a Lead Product Developer, being responsible for building extensions to Microsoft's SharePoint document management system. Chris later joined Metalogix Software as a Senior Development Lead/Dev Manager and eventually became the Director of Cloud Development, managing cloud development teams and overseeing product architecture. Currently, Capson is a Software Engineer Senior Director at Quest Software.

Chris Capson received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick. Chris completed the degree in the field of study of Computer Science through the Co-op Program, attending from 1992 to 1997. In addition to their degree, they also obtained certifications in First Aid & CPR from the Canadian Red Cross in June 2018, and in Professional Scrum Master Level 1 from Scrum.org in 2013.
