Einar Mykletun

Einar Mykletun, Ph.D., CISSP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Einar started their career as a Systems Analyst at American Management Systems in 2000. Einar then worked as a Computer Programmer at The Bivings Group before joining NEC Europe (Mobility Group) as a Research Assistant. In 2002, they began working at the University of California, Irvine as a Research Assistant and later as a University Instructor.

In 2006, Einar joined Dell (previously Quest Software) as a Security and Compliance Architect. Einar held this position until 2014 when they moved on to become the CTO and Co-Founder of Identillect Technologies. After three years, they joined XEEDA as a Technical Security Advisor.

In 2017, Einar worked as a Security and Compliance DevOps Architect/Engineer at Quest Software before transitioning to the role of DevOps Manager in 2019. Later, they became the Sr. Manager - SaaS DevOps, Security & Compliance, Supply Chain & Global Software Assembly and eventually assumed the role of Director, Software Engineering, all within Quest Software.

Alongside their professional career, Einar has also been involved in real estate investment as a Real Estate Investor since 2008.

Einar Mykletun, Ph.D., CISSP, obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Applied Cryptography from UC Irvine between 2002 and 2006. Prior to that, they earned an M.S. in Computer Science from UC Irvine from 2002 to 2004. Einar completed their undergraduate studies at Macalester College from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics. Einar also holds additional certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and the Web Application Penetration Tester certification from SANS GIAC.
