Joe Sharmer

Joe Sharmer has a strong background in IT and solution architecture. Joe started their career as an IT Manager for Delta Construction in 1991 and then moved on to work as a Sr. Messaging Administrator for Fujitsu. In 1997, they joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Collaborative Computing Engineer. In 1998, Sharmer joined Seagate Technology as a Sr. Messaging and Collaborative Computing Architect, where they stayed for 11 years. Joe then worked at the Department of the Interior as a Messaging and Collaborative Computing Engineer/Sharepoint Administrator. Starting from 2010, Sharmer worked at Quest Software as a Principal Solutions Architect. In 2011, they became a Solutions Architect and later a Senior Solutions Architect. In 2014, they were promoted to Team Lead Senior Solution Architect for North America. From 2015 to 2016, Sharmer took on the role of North American Technical Partner Manager at Binary Tree. Joe then served as a Technical Manager of NA Solution Architecture, Microsoft Cloud Solutions at Binary Tree from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Technical Director of North American Solution Architecture at Binary Tree.

Joe Sharmer attended the Harvard Business School Leadership Program from 2006 to 2007, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. Prior to that, they attended Cabrillo from 1986 to 1991. In addition to their education, Joe Sharmer obtained certification as an (ISC)² Candidate from (ISC)² in March 2023.
