Elliot Rank

Elliot Rank is a retired Technical Director of Microbiology at Quest Diagnostics, with extensive experience in laboratory diagnostics for infectious diseases. They served as the first Director of the New York City BioThreat Response Laboratory and directed clinical microbiology laboratories at prominent institutions such as Mount Sinai Hospital and St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. Throughout their career, Elliot has been recognized for strong leadership and technical writing skills, contributing to numerous publications and guidelines in the field. They hold a PhD in Medical Microbiology from the University of Minnesota and are currently pursuing postdoctoral studies in Medical and Public Health Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine.
