Jonathan Gesell

Jonathan Gesell is a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer at Quest Diagnostics, currently focusing on updating and developing best practices for bioinformatics pipelines through containerization and research. Jonathan previously worked as a Computational Biologist II at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where they designed solutions for bioinformatics challenges and utilized cloud-based systems. With a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a B.A. in Biology and Communication Studies from Austin College, Jonathan has a diverse background that includes roles in IT support, automation, and bioinformatics programming. They are presently getting settled in the Dallas area.
