Nicholas Willoughby has a diverse background in both roofing and biomedical engineering. Beginning as an Apprentice Carpenter at Superior Home Improvements from June 2003 to September 2005, Nicholas transitioned to a Roofing Tech role at Superior's Rhino Roofing from May 2006 to December 2008. Following this, a career shift to the medical field occurred at Quest Diagnostics from June 2009 to July 2011, where Nicholas held various positions, including Medical Technologist II and Manager of Bio-Analytical Instrumentation and Biomedical Engineering. Additionally, a role as Sr. Manager - Biomedical Engineering was undertaken at Virginia Tech from 2008 to 2009. Nicholas has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, with a focus on high-throughput clinical lab program development and team specialization in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LCMS) and automated liquid handling.
